The impact of being out of tune
When we are out of tune with ourselves or with others, there is often a significant impact on our emotional, mental, spiritual, and physical well-being.
Common signs of disharmony may include:
- Inability to process emotions such as anxiety or worry, depression, feelings of helplessness and loneliness, loss of confidence, or feeling overwhelmed by strong emotions such as anger, fear, or sadness
- Cognitive difficulties including confusion, inability to concentrate, foggy thinking, and indecision
- Physical symptoms such as disrupted sleep, changes in eating habits, lack of energy, chronic pain, and illness
- Spiritual ‘deadness’ manifesting as lack of motivation or hope, an inability to find meaning in life, burn-out, and creative blocks
- Relationship issues including staying stuck in non-productive patterns of conflict, withdrawing, poor communication, people-pleasing, micromanaging, blaming, betrayal, lack of commitment, irresponsibility, untrustworthiness, poor boundaries, and abuse.
How I can help
You do not have to walk through these challenges alone. Within the context of a safe, supportive, and confidential counselling environment, our sessions together can be a unique opportunity for you to gain insight into your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, and to learn how to bring harmony into your relationships. Counselling can be a rewarding experience for you as we focus on how you can move closer to inner contentment and clarity, a more stable and solid sense of self, greater self-awareness, finding solutions to some problems and acceptance of circumstances that cannot be changed, building hope for the future, and more satisfying relationships through emotional regulation skills and healthier boundaries.
My counselling focus is on helping people understand and improve their functioning as individuals and in their relationships. I work with couples, parents, and families facing relationship difficulties at all stages and transitions in their life cycle. I also work with individuals who are seeking therapy for a broad range of issues, including anxiety, stress, trauma, depression, self-esteem, and grief or loss. I welcome people of all ages, gender identities, sexual orientations, ethnic and cultural backgrounds, and spiritual or religious persuasions. I would consider it a privilege to accompany you on your quest for greater harmony in your life. Please contact me today to schedule an appointment.
